Tara is the founder and CEO of Lockwood Strategy Lab, a media and digital strategy firm.
Tara is a seasoned strategic communications and campaign strategist with over 10 years of experience working for Democratic candidates, campaigns, PACs and progressive non-profit organizations. Most recently, Tara ran one of the largest digital persuasion programs in the history of electoral politics as Digital Director of Priorities USA, where she directed over $42 million in media spending and oversaw the production of over 4800 digital-first ads fiercely opposing the candidacy of Donald Trump in the 2016 presidential election.
Prior to joining Priorities, Tara incubated a $25 million digital campaign incubator for the climate change movement, built a $10 million electoral program as the first Digital Director of NextGen Climate, and traveled the country creating digital content for President Obama as Senior Producer on his 2012 reelection campaign. In her early career, Tara served as a Press Secretary in the Senate after learning to harness the power of storytelling as an Associate Producer at 60 Minutes and Frontline.
